Overview

The Showroom is a thoughtful collection of premium home rentals from across the country. Users are able to explore top-rated stays from a variety of listing platforms before they decide to book and receive notifications when their favorite stays become available. I was tasked with leading the art direction and executive the web/product design for both the listing platform and the internal templates that would host each premium listing.

The Challenge

 

The goal was to understand the values of the target customer and hosts, as well as the dynamics that they would need enforced. Each of the premium listing templates had to not only be able to have versatile features for any stay, but also take the extra step of considering the environment around it in order to give each user’s a personalized brand and feel.

 
 

The Approach

 

A key objective in every step was to brand the platform as an online ‘travel community’, allowing users (hosts & customers) to be able to feel the local experience in whatever location the listings are in. All while delivering an elevated tone to each listing with the intent to compliment the quality of the stay.

The other key objective was to make the platform as versatile as possible. The five environment categories were thoughtfully set up to be able to pair with any listing type and the premium templates themselves intentionally have broad categories to make it easy for the host to list features/amenities.
